Play By Ear

Ever ask yourself this question?

"Why is [fill in the blank] so hard?"

If you have, then discover the Law of Reversed Effort: The harder one consciously endeavors to do something, the more difficult it becomes to succeed.

It's so obvious. The harder you try, the harder it is! As you ear train, emphasize imagination and imagery rather than appealing to the conscious will. For example, instead of trying to listen very hard or simply verbally demanding that you will have absolute pitch, you may imagine how good it feels to have absolute pitch. Then associate that positive feeling with the act of listening. If you feel like you're struggling, it's because you are struggling.

When you have absolute pitch, it's going to seem ridiculous how simple it is. The hardest part for most people is learning how to not try so hard, yet still try. And at some point, you will forget to try at all and you'll just get it.

And I'd like to make it EASY for you to play by ear!

You do want it to be easy, don't you?
